The free comic Serenity-The Warrior and the Wind (2016).cbr is at A comic book reader: Quote: The whole prison guard massacre has been deleted from memory of everyone alive. As far as I can tell, nothing happened next. I was really hoping this comic would give a hint about what happened next. Think what happened after the Charlie Hebdo shooting, where only one policeman died. I'll say it one more time: Zack Whedon should not have made Mal and Jayne do that because it limits where the crew of Serenity can go next once all the law enforcement officers in the entire Universe want to capture or kill them. It will only take two seconds to look at the scene here: 010746 Watch the blood splash as Jayne and Mal drill holes in prison guards. The comics don't feel like they belong with the show. Though if the plan is just to blast through all the guards that really doesn't seem like a Mal plan. Originally posted by Zeek: I haven't read it. Zack Whedon showed a little restraint: he did not have Jayne throw grenades into the crowd of guards. I really think the comic books will need a reboot because Zack Whedon, the writer, made a bad decision when he decided that Mal would not sneak Zoe out of prison, but blast her out with the maximum number of dead and wounded. His life will be far, far less restricted by having a baby on board Serenity than by having every Sheriff, Deputy, and Cop in the Universe gunning for him. And there are millions of lawmen, anyone of them could kill or capture Mal. The law will forgive him for killing other criminals, but they won't ever forgive him for killing lawmen. You're worried about the baby? Worry about Mal killing lawmen in front of witnesses. Good thinking! Kinda glad Firefly/Serenity stopped before they had a chance to mess with it too much. Originally posted by Zeek: Ugh a baby? That just never seems to go well in these kinds of stories. Remember, I've waited years! I wonder what the next comic book will be about? The bedtime story told to Zoe’s baby in the newest comic does not give me any hint about how Mal will fix the mess he made during the previous comic. This wasn’t the same as gunning down Agent Lawrence Dobson because this time Mal left a government man alive to tell the Alliance precisely who committed mass murder of the guards. Good oldboy Jayne and his boss Mal have really crossed a line by murdering those guards. Mal had decided the best way to free Zoe from prison was the most straightforward: kill law-officers doing their jobs. For Mass Murder! In the previous comic book, Serenity Leaves on the Wind (2014), Jayne was killing prison guards with a high-power rifle. Mal still cannot go anywhere without being arrested. The free comic Serenity-The Warrior and the Wind (2016).cbr is at A comic book reader: I've been waiting two years for this newest comic and was hoping that it would point the story back in a direction toward the carefree days of the TV show where Mal could visit any port on any planet and be free from arrest by the Alliance.
